Water meter replacement postponed

We were not able to complete water meter replacement today because City plumbers could not shut off the water supply at the curb.

City is scheduling a day when they could come and dig around the valve in order to replace it. The valve is located right in front of our main stairs, on the street.
This work will require water shut off for multiple buildings located on Burgin Parkway.

We will let you know.

Building water shutdown - Monday September 21st

By request of the Water Department of City of Quincy we will be replacing our water meter located in the laundry.

Plumbing work will be done on Monday, September 21^st starting at 8am and should take a few hours to complete.

City Water Department will also be involved to shut off water at the curb valve (right in front of our main stairs on the street).

Owners Trustees Re-election Meeting - October 1st

We are setting up an owners meeting for Trustees re-election for the next two year term. The meeting will be set up using Zoom with a pre-test on September 28th when you can verify your connectivity. Details will we follow.

Owners who are interested in running for a Trustee would need to submit their names before the meeting (we will provide details in emails / letters sent directly to each owner).
Trustee responsibilities include overseeing the condo budget, building maintenance and vendors who provide various services. We are in the process of selecting a management company to help with this.

Zoom pre-test: September 28 at 6pm

Zoom owners meeting: October 1 at 6pm.

Garage Gates problems

Our gates stopped working today, Thursday, Aug 27.

We found a temporary fix and reconnected the gates to the motor and all works now.
Our vendor will be here on Saturday to replace worn out parts and fix the gates properly.

If our temp fix does not last and the gates are broken again please open them manually and then close after you leave.
You might want to have a set of work gloves ready (the gates have grease on them).

Also, if you noticed a problem let us know right away, do not just drive away leaving the gates open.

Please remember that in the past we had bikes stolen from the garage when the gates were left open for long time.

Comcast cable problems

One of our residents reached out to Comcast about missing Xfinity On-Demand TV channels. A Comcast tech came and found some signal problems with our main cable.

They will be coming over again on Tuesday morning to run detailed scan and you might expect Internet network connectivity problems during their tests.

Please, if you have on-going cable problems, let me know before Tuesday so I could pass that information to the techs.

Increased Water usage on August 3rd and 4th

Quincy Water Department let us know about a spike in water usage in our building on August 3rd and 4th. For these two days we used twice more water then we usually do.

Please, do not leave water running, make sure your faucets are not leaking and toilet is not constantly running water into the drain.

Whatever it was, it is important to get it fixed to avoid overuse of water. Water is very expensive these days and we pay for it from your condo fees and rent.

It is important to keep doors locked and gates closed. If you see packages left by the carriers in the mail lobby, take a second and bring them in even if they are not addressed to you.

Please note that condo is not responsible for any items left in the garage.
We would recommend using locks for bikes.
